Have you ever wonder what does blueberry look like? Now, here's your chance! :D

Blueberries!

More blueberries!

Last Saturday was my first encounter with fresh blueberries. Normally, I come across with blueberry jam, pies, muffin... And sometimes, the not-so-fresh blueberries in the supermarket. Blueberry plants, never. Obviously, I was thrilled~ curious to see the plants!

Me in blueberry orchard.

The blueberry bushes are enclosed under a layer of netting, safe from birds. We sanitized our hands before entering. Then, we began our search for ripe, sweet, and juicy blueberries.

Can you see the netting?

Attractive fruits.

Mind you, blueberries are difficult to pick. They're simply too tiny. No wonder, they're so expensive! I guess, cherry picking is less daunting.

Blueberries dangling at tall end.

The bushes are taller than me!

Baby plant, awaiting to grow.

Fresh blueberries have a very unique flavour. They also have small edible seeds. To be eaten fresh or frozen, it's up to you!

Heaps of blueberries.

The blueberry picking team!

I also saw this apple tree! ^_^

Apple.

oh! my first time seeing a blueberry tree too.

btw, how do you pick the b-berry?
pluck individually, or just stir the whole branch, let the ripe one falls, and collect in a basket below??

jimonge: We searched for the ripe one, which is in darker colour. Then we plucked individually, one by one. :)
